Sue is a best selling author, Certified Management Effectiveness Coach, internationally recognized seminar leader, speaker and entrepreneur. She specializes in the domains of effective communication, leadership, coaching and organizational excellence.
Ms. Hawkes primarily works with conscious leaders who are as committed to their legacy as they are to their bottom line. She is an expert in creating Best Place to Work cultures.
Sue has designed and delivered dynamic, transformational programs for tens of thousands of people in Mexico, England, Canada, Africa and the United States. She also served as an adjunct Professor for Metropolitan State University teaching Entrepreneurship and Marketing. She facilitates two of the four Minnesota Chapters of the Women President’s Organization.
Sue has worked with multinational and American organizations such as Best Buy, Xcel Energy, Starkey Laboratories, Fallon Worldwide, Green Mill Restaurants, Pawn America, St. Jude Medical, Allied Executives, deBeer Law, Bay West, Twin Modal, Premium Waters (a division of Coca Cola), Eli Lilly and many others with regard to sustained excellent performance.
Sue has been featured in The Business Journal, Minnesota Business, the StarTribune, on KARE 11’s Morning News and Sunrise show, the Pat Miles show, FM 107 and other national radio and internet radio programs. Sue has been a regular contributor to Women’s Business Minnesota magazine, written articles for

The Answer to Absolutely Everything.” She was also a featured presenter for the 2008 International conference of the
American Society of Training and Development (ASTD).Sue is highly active in the community, both locally and abroad. She was awarded the
Exemplary Woman of the Community award from the Minneapolis Chamber of Commerce, was honored with the prestigious
Unsung Hero Award from WomenVenture, and received the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Minnesota District Office and Midwest Regional
SBA Champion Award for “Women in Business Champion of the Year.” Sue was recognized as one of the
“Top 25 Women to Watch” by the Minnesota Business Journal, received the
Upsize Lifeline Award, and was recognized for her leadership program accomplishments with the
Dream Keeper award as recognized by the Governor’s Commission for her leadership efforts in bringing peace and harmony to the community. Sue and Bettie (Sue’s business partner) adopted a village (Begoro, Ghana, Africa) offering leadership programs and creating micro-loans for the participants to start businesses.
Sue manages to keep up with her teenage son, and leads an active life. Sue loves people and her purpose is to create a lasting difference in people’s lives. She believes it is possible to create world that works for everyone and has devoted her life to having that happen one person at a time.
