“This is not the year to get everything you want. This is the year to appreciate everything you have.” I posted this quote recently on my social media and it seemed to resonate with a number of people.

With the amount of adjusting, flexing, evolving, pivoting, and changing we’re all doing with frequency, it also means we need to be intentional about refilling our fuel tank, resting, moving, laughing and celebrating. We know it does not look the same, but it can feel connected, loving and peace filled.

Your feelings are up to you, manage your thinking and they will follow. It’s a trail worth tracking. If you want to change your feelings, work on your thinking.

How do you work on your thinking? If you need to clean up your thinking, take a break. Go for a walk, journal, reflect do NO THING. This is where you find gratitude, perspective, challenge and Truth (yes, with a capital “T”).

Though it feels enduring to constantly and consistently muscle up the courage to change again, we will knowing this too shall pass.

Managing our thinking is like any muscle, it must be worked, and it needs time to recover. Manage it well and 2020 will be an opportunity to transform what needs it most in your life, in the lives of those around you and in our world.

2020 affords us the opportunity to eradicate anything falling short of greatness while amplifying what means the most to you.

Be intentional. Don’t miss the gifts.
