The Next Best Thing

Jacqui Thompson is the President of the PRN Alumni Association, a partner of the Minneapolis School of New Music, founder of the Rebel Spirits alcoholic beverage company, and she is an incredible consultant as well. Jacqui creates and grows companies, products, brands, and artists by guiding them through key stages of the business development process including business creation, brand development, content production, creative direction, and product design. In this episode of the Intentional Greatness podcast, Jacqui joins us to share her amazing journey. She explains what it takes to get out of your own way so you can live fearlessly and achieve your dreams.

Be Present

Throughout her life and career, Jacqui has lived passionately and fearlessly, but it did not come without sacrifice. Every experience in her childhood, adolescence, and adult life was an opportunity for Jacqui to conquer fear and push forward toward her vision for success. It taught her how to live in the moment, which is easier said than done. Even when we are making a conscious effort to be present and vulnerable, it is easy to get caught up in everything around us. When we are distracted like that, it prevents us from just going for it, and that is one of the greatest disservices we can do for ourselves.

Know Yourself

The minute Jacqui stopped enjoying what she was doing, she started planning her next move. Most of us vastly underestimate the importance of knowing ourselves. When you have a point of reference, a success blueprint, and a way to measure your progress, it makes change easier to deal with. By giving yourself a clear view of the bigger picture, you become less resistant to transformation and more open to opportunity. Chasing your dream is not scary when you feel like you know what’s on the other side of the door. This is something that all of us should strive for, and Jacqui’s story is a testament to that.
